MINI REPORT
Bloody hell that was utter rubbish. Another friendly another abject performance from England. August friendlies are usually turgid affairs and this was only slighter better because Denmark played some nice stuff. Three goals in a seven-minute spell on the hour stunned Sven Goran Eriksson’s side and delighted the Copenhagen crowd.

Wayne Rooney the only player to come out of the game with any credit pulled one back on 87 minutes but the Danes scored a fourth in injury time becoming the first team to put four past England since Wales in May 1980.

Denmark were up for it England were not simple as that.

AFTER MATCH COMMENTS

England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson slammed his players' performance after their dismal defeat in Denmark.

In a rare show of emotion, Eriksson told Sky Sports: "I am very sorry and very disappointed. I am angry about the second half because I think that was a disaster how we played. We were not helping each other and were all over the place, losing the ball. We did nothing right in 45 minutes. I am upset about that.

"I was happy with the first half, I think we did well. I can't defend it or explain why we didn't do that in the second half. They know how to play, with the right attitude and tactics but then come out in the second half it seems like a holiday. I told them if we want to play football like that we can forget the World Cup. But we are not going to play football like that when it comes to a qualification game. You can lose games but not like today."

David Beckham said after the match: "We just didn't play to our potential. The first half was very good, but the second half I don't know what it was. We lost our shape and didn't do things we had been told to do by the manager before the game and at the end of the first half."

"In our team we have a lot of motivated players - I just think tonight we lost our way a bit tonight, they got three quick goals and that was the end of it. The scoreline does no damage for the future but at the moment it's hard to take because we are prepared for qualifying games which are important to the country. We can't let it affect our confidence. We have two weeks before the next game."
